Ill make this short and sweet as possible. No it is not discrimination. Discrimination is an act Towards Against a person or of a group Un Certain WHERE I or she, In This case I Treated Differently is based on class or category. In your case with your friend I have is threaded Differently Because of individual merit. The Fact That your buddy has a criminal felony for robbery is an individual merit, itself. Although people change over time, and as you can see its hard to believe That Are not people so accepting of this in. today’s world, HAVING something on a criminal record is enough to turn someone down for a job offer. What discrimination? The Equal Employment Opportunity Act Prevents Employers Refusing to hire from a person based on race, age, sex, national origin, religion, or sexual orientation; Felons are not a protected class.

Was it His one and only crime? That I think MOST states, if not all Laws Have in place if it is WHERE the person’s one and only crime, They can apply for expungement, Which Means That the crime would be wiped off of Legally his / her record and be sealed. That way, the individual would be allowed to Legally Say That They Have Never Been Convicted of a crime. The person would Have to Explain how he / she has changed over the years and Demonstrate why he / she deserves expungment. Look in your local phonebook under criminal defense attorneys and They Should direct you to a good expungement attorney. . . Also look up free legal aid in your area. Also, to answer your question, your friend Was Not Being discriminated Against Because It is perfectly legal for someone to discriminate Against someone If They Have Been Convicted for a Serious Crime. However, what I were the exact historical Circumstances of conviction? Some criminals may Have gotten deals Where the crime is only supposed to be On Their record for 7 years or something. Ask your friend if I got any deals. . .

Because the temp agency just does not think criminal historical record is a problem Does not Mean Anything. The company Actually hiring him is the one That has to ok him With A criminal record. I have not was discriminated Against, They are not obligated to give him a job

How Is That discrimination? Your? Friend? Many is ineligible for jobs, federal jobs Especially With That? felony?. No one has to hire him; They are permitted to pick and choose candidates and if historical Amongst criminal record didn? T meet Their standards, Then so be it. I mean your friend Committed a felony, there is not tip-toeing around that. If I didn? T commit the felony, I Could have landed the job. You have no case for discrimination here.

Yes they can, for a felony the waiting period is 10-15 years, Before a nursing home Will you hire. Well i should say for Several Violations, There Is a list of the chrges They Will Hold Against.

If it is pertenant to the job at hand, Then Yes they can. They get a note stating Will It Was That expunged, But it is still there for them. If you have nothing to do it With The job (not related to theft, abuse or Neglect, sexual assault, etc), Then You Should Be Fine. If it is related to the job, Then I think you want to May Find Another field to go into.
